For many years, Cooperative Mineo-Saitta has been at the cutting edge of production, supply and international distribution of certified organic citrus fruits, vegetables, Not-GMO (Genetically Modified Organisms).
Coop Mineo-Saitta also trades in other organic food stuffs, such as flour, meal, fodder and feed. Coop Mineo-Saitta carefully controls all phases of production, from development, selection and growth, to harvest, working, packaging and transportation, in order to guarantee top quality products. Mineo-Saitta has a tradition of integrity and trust, it guarantees customer satisfaction through out the production process and distribution is exclusively limited to products which meet European Union regulation, Reg. CEE 2092/91.
Coop Mineo-Saitta and its partner Activa have been forerunners in the development of a unique and reliable process which guarantees customers that its quality products and foodstuffs are Non-GMO and are organically certified.
Coop Mineo-Saitta's production process consist of two phases:

1. The phase of cultivation
• Agencies specialiced in harvest control, recognized by the European Union, test products in order to guarantee the purity and characteristics of the plants and the sepatation of terrains.
• Private laboratories examine specimens of seeds and vegetables in order to verify the absence of GMO.
• A certificated agency controls harvest and carry out further tests and examinations of specimens before harvesting.

2. Post harvest phase
• Our products are preserved and transported meeting European laws.
• All products are prepared for sale by recognized processing firms, mills and presses, authorized by IFOAM.
• Laboratory tests include genetic tests (DNA) to verify the absence of GMO, insecticides, herbicides and fungicides, to guarantee purity.
• Our products are certified by AIAB, (authorised by IFOAM).
